1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files or data that a website may store in a visitor’s browser to remember information required for operation or, where consent has been given, to obtain information about how the site is used.
2. Categories used by OIKOTHERM
This website uses two categories: necessary cookies and, only after prior consent, Google Analytics cookies.
Necessary cookies are always active because they allow the website to remember the visitor’s privacy choice and support the basic operation of the consent system. Analytics cookies are optional and are off by default.
3. Necessary cookies
OIKOTHERM uses a technical preference named oikotherm_consent to remember the consent version, that necessary functions remain active, whether the visitor has allowed or rejected Analytics, and the date/time of that choice.
This information contains no directly identifying personal data and is used only so that the same preference is not requested on every page. The preference is retained for a limited period and can be changed through “COOKIE SETTINGS”.
4. Google Analytics
If the visitor enables analytics cookies, the website loads Google Analytics using the identifier configured by OIKOTHERM. Google Analytics is used to understand in aggregate how the website is used, for example which pages are visited and how visitors navigate the site.
Google Analytics is not loaded, does not set its cookies and does not send analytics data before the visitor has expressly enabled this category. If Analytics is rejected, the service is not loaded.
The analytics cookies that Google Analytics may create depend on the effective configuration of the service. This policy describes OIKOTHERM’s implementation and does not attribute cookies from services that are not installed.
5. Changing or withdrawing consent
Visitors can change their choice at any time through the “COOKIE SETTINGS” link in the footer. When Analytics is disabled, the website prevents future analytics tracking and removes, where technically possible from the browser, first-party analytics cookies associated with Google Analytics.
6. Browser controls
Browsers allow users to view, block or delete cookies through their own privacy settings. The exact procedure depends on the browser and device being used. Blocking necessary cookies may prevent the site from remembering privacy preferences.
7. Privacy Policy
Information about the data controller, purposes, legal bases, rights and providers used by OIKOTHERM is available in the Privacy Policy.
